We spent the New Year in Puerto La Cruz, which is a coastal town/city in the northeast region of Venezuela.

Hi Deborah!! Thank you for your pictures, I have visited Puerto La Cruz twice over 12 years ago and loved it!! Just as an FYI, Puerto La Cruz is in the North East of Venezuela!! Happy new year what a place to spend it!

I don’t know if you can tell from the few pictures, but does it look like the area has changed at all?
It really looks the same to me, we drove Mochima Bay to Cumana, we walked the Paseo Colon and dined at a few different places on the boardwalk, we took an island cruise, and we went to the Orinoco Delta from there for a boat ride to see local Indian tribes, LOVED the whole thing, we stayed at the Golden Rainbow Resort.
