Another trip to the park
I’ve mentioned before that even though Caracas is very urban, there are no shortages of parks. I posted about one of my first trips to Parque del Este back in 2010 and thought that it was time for another (it’s really a great park).
There’s a lot of work being done to the park, but our favorite parts have remained the same…

Looks like a fun park! Chisinau, the capital of Moldova where I’m living now, is one of the greenest cities in Europe, at least in the summer. In the winter it is mostly gray
There are nice parks, but also the streets are lined with trees that make it look lush and green and make it wonderfully shady during the heat of summer.
No monkeys in the parks though, but lets of smooching couples and the occasional saxophone player.

Oh, there are a lot of kissing couples around Caracas too. Especialy in the park. I think that having a lot of green around makes a huge difference in cities. I remember my old office was surrounded by trees and grass and a lake that was man-made. The scenery made it possible to take a walk outside and find a sense of calm.
