El Ávila attempted
I’ve spoken about El Ávila before, but for the first time a few weeks ago I visited the national park. The hike (and I do mean hike) is very rugged. I went for about an hour and couldn’t go any farther. I did get a few shots though…
Let me just point out that I was about to keel over while taking these pictures. The climb really is brutal and should not be attempted at a fast pace. I’m told it takes months of training and eventually you can get to the top without needing medical intervention. After my heart rate slowed down, I managed to get a couple close ups…
I’m not one to back down from a challenge, so El Ávila, I’ll be back!
